Online casino: what to check before you register

Registration: what the form asks, and what comes later

The sign-up form is the shortest document an online casino has, and it says nothing about what will be asked for later. The forms in the ranking look like this:

• Vave: nickname, email address and password (screenshot 24 August 2026).
• Rainbet: an email address only.
• Metaspins: email address and password.
• Bitcasino.io: an email address, to be confirmed before the first withdrawal.
• Wolfbet: an email address; a withdrawal needs the address confirmed and two-step authentication switched on (cl. 15(1)).
• Wild Fortune: an email address, but playing in BTC requires a document before the first stake (cl. 2.7).
• Bitsler: an email address; to buy crypto with a card, identity and address have to be confirmed first.

A short form does not mean documents will not be asked for. Vave's form has three fields, but clause 8.7 allows a document to be demanded before every withdrawal. Register with your real details: if they do not match the document, Vave refuses the withdrawal and closes the account under clause 8.7. With a new name, it is worth looking at the licence date before the form as well, which is what the overview of new casinos is about.

Licence: the number in the footer and the entry in the register

Every online casino prints some number in its footer, but that is the operator's own claim. The confirmation is the register entry you find in the issuer's portal: Curaçao certificates in the CGA portal at cert.cga.cw, Anjouan licences in Anjouan's public register. Search by domain, because a certificate lists specific addresses and one brand may use several.

Our ranking holds six situations that show what a register can turn up:

• Everything matches. Shuffle.com prints the number OGL/2024/1337/0628 and the register shows the same number in the name of Natural Nine B.V. (8 September 2026).
• The domain is a different one. Vave's certificate OGL/2024/1676/0905 covered, by the portal's data on 12 September 2026, only vavegame.com and not the address vave.com.
• The status is not valid. The number 1668/JAZ that stands in Rocketpot's terms returned “not valid” in the CGA portal on 12 and 13 September 2026.
• The end date is close. The last day of validity for the Anjouan licence of Metlait SRL, under which Wild Fortune runs, is 29 September 2026.
• Two authorities. Metaspins' terms print an Anjouan number, while the Curaçao register shows an active licence for Metaspins N.V.
• Two companies. Wild.io's certificate names Nonce Gaming B.V., its terms Stack Gaming Ltd.

If the register turns up nothing, do not draw a conclusion straight away: try another key, the company name instead of the domain, for example. How the registers are built and where each operator stands is together in the overview of foreign licences.

Identity checks: when, from what amount and with what deadline

The identity clause is the part of an online casino's terms that affects a withdrawal most directly. Read three things out of it.

When the check begins. Under Vave's clause 8.7, documents may be demanded before every withdrawal. Shuffle.com's clause 5.2 requires a check before the first withdrawal at the latest. Wild Fortune asks a bitcoin player for a document before play (cl. 2.7). At Bitsler the check is triggered by large deposits and by a level of spending (cl. 8.22).

From what amount. Two operators write an amount down. Bitcasino.io sets the threshold at €2,500 or the same value in crypto (cl. 6.6). Rocketpot has two figures: 2,500 USD (or 0.05 BTC) under clause 11.4 and 2,000 USD under clause 12.4. Both keep the right to check below those amounts too.

With what deadline. There are five deadlines in the ranking: 30 calendar days at Rocketpot (cl. 12.2), 30 days at Metaspins (cl. 9.10), two weeks at Wild Fortune, 14 days at Vave (cl. 8.7) and three days at Rainbet (cl. 20.1). The clock often starts once a withdrawal is already waiting, so keep the documents ready.

The desk's two tests show that a check need not come at the first withdrawal. At Vave, the desk's own withdrawals reached a running total of roughly 5,000 USDT on 28 August 2026 without a single document being asked for, even though clause 8.7 gives the right to ask before every withdrawal. At TrustDice the check began in May 2026 once the running total had passed about 5,000 USD: a Veriff link arrived, a driving licence was rejected and a passport went through on the fifth attempt. Both are observations from one account, not rules. Every clause operator by operator is in the comparison of document demands.

How to read one clause: Vave's 8.7 as an example

To see what an identity clause actually contains, take clause 8.7 of Vave's terms (as at 25 August 2026). The clause answers three questions out of four; there is no amount in it.

• When: before a withdrawal is processed; a pending withdrawal may be held or cancelled for the duration of the check.
• What: a document showing a name, a photograph, a date of birth and a citizenship. Beyond that, a selfie with the document may be asked for, a second selfie holding a sheet of paper with the site's name and that day's date, a telephone call, and in some cases a video call.
• Deadline: 14 days from the first request.
• Consequence: if the documents are not produced, the account may be closed and winnings forfeited.

Because the amount is missing, the third criterion would go unmet for Vave — but Vave is not scored, as it stands outside the ranking. The same four rows are worth looking for in every casino's clause. How we read and date those clauses is described on the method page.

When a document is late: what happens to the account

A deadline is not just a number. Once it passes, a clause applies that says what becomes of the account, and those consequences differ sharply from one operator to the next:

• Rocketpot freezes the money and restricts play until the documents are in hand (cl. 12.2).
• Wild Fortune locks the account and cancels the withdrawal (cl. 8.4).
• Metaspins may suspend or close the account, hold withdrawals and confiscate the remaining balance (cl. 9.10).
• Bitcasino.io blocks or postpones withdrawals until the documents are in order (cl. 6.5).
• Wolfbet may freeze or close the account (cl. 5(3)), Bitsler may suspend it (cl. 4.4).
• Shuffle.com may close the account, return verified deposits with deductions and leave winnings unpaid (cl. 5.6).

That is why documents are worth keeping ready before your first larger withdrawal. Where the deadline is short, as Rainbet's three days are, it matters all the more.

Payments: what the cashier takes and what it does not

Before a deposit, look at three things: the coin, the network and the minimum. A mistake in a crypto payment is usually final.

• Coins. Wolfbet's FAQ lists 32 coins, Rocketpot 13, Bitcasino.io 12 to 13, Wild Fortune 10 and Rainbet nine, plus cards and bank transfers. Shuffle.com shows coins only in the cashier after registration (cl. 9.4).
• Network. Rocketpot takes USDT on two networks, ERC-20 and TRC-20 (cl. 7.1 and 10.1). Select in your wallet the same network the cashier shows.
• Minimum. Under clause 10.2 of Rocketpot's terms, a deposit below 0.001 BTC is lost. Rainbet's smallest withdrawal is 15 USD (cl. 8.1).
• Confirmations. Bitcasino.io waits for three network confirmations before a withdrawal (cl. 6.1), Rocketpot for one (cl. 10.5).
• The same road back. Under Metaspins' clause 11.3, money can be taken out in the same crypto it came in with. Shuffle.com does not require the deposit to be wagered where crypto goes back to the same wallet on the same network (cl. 10.2).
• Fees. Shuffle.com shows any fee before you confirm (cl. 10.7). Metaspins writes “0% fees” on its front page, but clause 12.2 leaves fees possible.

There is less to say about card payments. Rainbet's FAQ names cards, bank transfers and gift cards; Bitsler requires identity and address to be confirmed before crypto can be bought with a card. A longer explanation of networks and coins is on the payments page.

Bonus and wagering requirement

The size of a bonus is the first line of the advertising; the most important line of the terms is the multiplier. Always work out how much staking a bonus demands: a €100 bonus at 30x means €3,000 of stakes before the bonus money is yours.

• Vave gives 150% on the first deposit (capped at 1.5 BTC) plus 100 free spins, then 100%, 50% and 25% (campaign page, 24 August 2026). There is no multiplier on that page, but clause 8.11 requires the deposit to be wagered before a withdrawal: three times in the casino, once in sports.
• Bitcasino.io's package runs across three deposits to a total of 5,000 USDT; the requirement on bonus money is 30x, there are seven days for it and the smallest deposit is 50 USDT.
• Rainbet offers two tracks, 100% up to $700 per tier and 20 free spins, with a 40x requirement.
• Rocketpot's bonus terms carry a multiplier of 100.
• Wild Fortune spreads 225% of bonus in total across five deposits (ceiling 7,500 Canadian dollars) and 250 free spins, but clause 11.15 caps winnings from the first three deposits at 7,500 Canadian dollars.

Separate from the bonus is the wagering of the deposit, which applies even without a bonus: once at Metaspins (cl. 4.2), once for crypto at Rainbet (cl. 8.7), three times at Rocketpot (cl. 11.2) and three times at Wild Fortune (cl. 9.7). Games and studios

The number of games is often the first figure in an online casino's advertising, but it is the operator's own claim and it does not enter the score. On 2 September 2026 the front pages carried these figures: Rainbet more than 8,000 games, Bitsler more than 7,000 slots, Bitcasino.io more than 5,000 games and Rocketpot more than 3,000 games. Shuffle.com's providers page carried 56 studio links on 8 September 2026, the operator's own studio among them. Of the studios, Rainbet names NoLimit City, BGaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Relax Gaming, Evolution and Pragmatic Play.

If sport matters to you, the card that keeps sports betting in the same account as the casino is Vave's. Vave's VIP points are collected on slots only: one point for every 30 USDT staked, and 200 points are worth 1 USDT (screenshot 24 August 2026). Table and live games earn no points.

The larger the number of games, the more it matters which games count towards a bonus requirement. That is written in the bonus terms, not on the front page. How games, support and complaints are arranged under a foreign licence is compared in the side-by-side page.

Withdrawal: the caps and what the speed depends on

Many people look for a casino where a withdrawal does not sit waiting. The terms carry no such promise, but they do show what can slow a withdrawal down. There are three reasons: the operator's own review together with the identity check, network confirmations, and period caps.

The caps are written down as follows:

• Wild Fortune: €1,000 a day, €5,000 a week, €15,000 a month (cl. 11.8).
• Wolfbet: 8,000 USD a week, 30,000 USD a calendar month (cl. 15(5)).
• Thunderpick: €100,000 a week (cl. 6.12).
• Rocketpot: after a win of at least 5,000 USD, up to 5,000 USD a month (cl. 11.5).
• Bitcasino.io: on a large withdrawal, up to 1 million USDT a week (cl. 6.10).
• Vave: no period cap (cl. 8.8), but from a win of 50,000 USDT it may in exceptional cases pay in equal instalments.

Support and complaints: who you write to when something goes wrong

The speed of a chat window does not tell you whether a dispute will be settled. What matters more is whose name is in the contract and which country's law governs it.

• Rainbet's terms (cl. 21.6) name Gaming Services Provider N.V. as the licensor, but there is no licence number on the site.
• Metaspins' contract is governed by Costa Rica law under clause 1.1, even though the same clause carries an Anjouan licence number.
• For Wild.io the certificate and the terms name two different companies, Nonce Gaming B.V. and Stack Gaming Ltd.

Where the terms leave a question open — Thunderpick's clause 21.1 does not say when a check begins — ask support in writing and save the answer. Keep a dated copy of the terms as well, the TXID of every deposit, and the whole correspondence. What is worth asking support is exactly what the clause leaves unsaid. Metaspins' clause 9.7 and Shuffle.com's clause 5.2 speak of a threshold but name no amount, so ask at what amount the check begins. Vave's campaign page carries no bonus multiplier, so ask for it before depositing. A written answer does not change the contract, but in a dispute it gives you dated evidence of what you were told.

On this site, the best online casino means the operator that meets most of the five criteria: four of them concern the identity clause and one the register entry. • you want caps in euros by day, week and month: Wild Fortune (cl. 11.8);
• you need a long list of coins: Wolfbet (32 coins in the FAQ);
• you pay in and out from the same wallet: Shuffle.com (cl. 10.2);
• you want casino and sport from one account: Vave, which stands outside the ranking.

An online casino from an Estonian reader's point of view

If an online casino suits a reader in Estonia, three more things are worth checking before registering.

Currency. Bitcasino.io's threshold, Wild Fortune's caps and Thunderpick's weekly cap are written in euros; the other operators count in dollars, in USDT or in bitcoin. Allow for the exchange rate when you compare caps.

Documents. Shuffle.com's clause 5.2 names a passport, an ID card or a driving licence. Bitsler sometimes also asks for a proof of address no more than three months old.
